This State of Michigan funded service is available throughout the Central and Western Upper Peninsula to all families with an open DHS Foster Care case with a current goal of reunification and whose children have been in out-of-home placement for eight months or less unless with some exceptions.
Services are available to the family for eighteen weeks. Referrals are accepted from both DHHS and private agencies on a first come, first served basis. Visiting coaches are located throughout the U.P., are well-acquainted with their counties, and are willing and able to work with all child placing agencies.
